The Instrumental rating Course – Airplane – IR (A)

Instrumental rating (IR) allows you to fly single-engine (SEP) or multi-engine aircraft (MEP) according to instrument flight rules (IFR).

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Certificate: PPL with Night Rating or CPL Flight Experience: 50 hrs of Cross Country as PIC or helicopter (in this case at least 10 hrs must be done in airplane) Medical License: EASA Class 1 o 2

  • Communication IFR

PRACTICAL COURSE 70 HRS

Rating IR on single-engine (SEP)
  • 50 hrs dual on IFR single-engine complex
Rating IR on single engine (SEP) and multi-engine (MEP)
  • 55 hrs dual on IFR single-engine complex
  • 15 hrs dual on IFR multi-engine complex (40 hrs is possible perform on Flight simulator Alsim Alx 500 FNTPII)

EXAMS

  • Theoretical examination: multiple-answers test in English language on the subjects of the theoretical course, carried out at ENAC headquarters in Rome or Milan.
  • Practical examination: 1 hrs flight examination with an ENAC flight examiner
